I came to AI from running and managing businesses, not from writing code. The judgement came first, and the technology is just the tool I aim at the problem. Two and a half years ago I had no technical background at all. I had never built or designed a technical system in my life.
Today I advise Australian businesses on AI strategy, implementation, change management and governance, and I train people with no technical background to do the same. Part of that journey was completing the 11287NAT Diploma of Artificial Intelligence myself, as a graduate. Now I am the expert trainer and assessor for it, a Training Worx product (RTO 52508), so I teach and assess the very qualification I earned.
I am living proof of the whole thesis: the AI expert can be grown, without a previous technical background.
